We are a new church in South Austin that wants to see God bring heaven to your life, home, family, and our city. We believe you were made to be in a life-changing relationship with God and with his people. We can’t wait to meet you!

We are located in Houston Elementary School. Our entrance is marked by flags and a few signs, and you’ll be welcomed by our friendly team members!
Directions
Driving
We are located in between Teri Rd and Stassney Dr. Turning onto East Stassney from I-35 exit 229 is easiest for most folks. If you’re coming from South, exit 229 to William Cannon goes to Stassney too!
Bus/Walking
Cap Metro’s 311 stops right at Stassney and Ponciana, a three-minute walk to our Sunday service. The 7 also has a stop at Teri and Pepper, another short walk.

We know coming to a new place can be intimidating, and we want to make you feel as welcomed as possible. Below are some commonly asked question to help you know what to expect.

We have dedicated parking on the west side of Houston Elementary. Street parking is also available along Deadwood Dr.

Refuge is a place for saints, sinners, skeptics, and everything in between. Whether you know in your bones Jesus is alive or you’re just curious about Christianity, you are welcome here.

We are pretty casual dressers, but feel free to wear your Sunday best if you want! Whether dressed fancy or casual, long hair or short, tattoos or none, you are welcome here.

Littles
Ages 0-3: Littles focuses on positive experiences at church and with God’s people.Middles
Ages 4-7: Middles focuses on cultivating the growing faith of kids 4-7Bigs
Ages 8-11: Bigs class focuses on moving your child’s faith from their head to their heart.If it’s your first time, feel free to get here a little early to get your child(ren) registered.
Y44, our youth ministry, meets the first and third Sunday of the month during the school year.
Children are also welcomed to stay with their parents in service.

Every area of Houston Elementary is wheelchair accessible. If you need any help into our worship area, feel free to ask anyone with a Refuge lanyard.

We have coffee available in the worship area, just to the left as you walk in.
Additionally, we have a break time during the service where you can get that coveted refill, and you are always welcome to stay for a while to connect after service.

Our service begins at 10:35am and typically runs about 90 minutes. You are welcomed to bring your coffee to your seat!
We begin the day with a few songs. After that, we spend some time praying together and you are invited to share your prayer request privately or by shouting it out.
After a short break and announcements, we spend time learning from scripture, diving deep and applying it to our lives. We conclude this time with communion and a few more songs.
You are always welcome to stay afterward to connect with others. Don’t mind us if we begin breaking down equipment.

No matter who you are or where you’re from or what you look like, you are welcomed at our church. We want you to feel at home, and we want you to experience what it means to be a part of God’s family. More than that, though, we hope that you meet Jesus is a beautiful and powerful way.
