Opening Prayer

This is another day, O Lord. I know not what it will bring forth, but make me ready, Lord, for whatever it may be. If I am to stand up, help me to stand bravely. If I am to sit still, help me to sit quietly If I am to lie low, help me to do it patiently. And if I am to do nothing, help me to do it gallantly. Make these words more than words, and give me the Spirit of Jesus. Amen.

Confession

Most merciful God, I confess that I have sinned against you in through, word, and deed, by what I have done, and by what I have left undone.

I have not loved you with my whole heart; and have not loved my neighbor as myself. I am truly sorry and I humbly repent.

For the sake of your Son, Jesus Christ, have mercy on me and forgive me; that I may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen.

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father in heaven, your name be honored as holy.

Thank God for who He is and His abundant faithfulness.

Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven..

Pray for God’s rule and reign to become a reality.

Give us today our daily bread.

Pray for God’s daily provision in your life.

And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

Confess your sins to the Lord, and forgive people who have wronged you.

And do not bring us into temptation,

Ask for God to guide you in “paths of righteousness for His name sake.” 

But deliver us from the evil one.

Pray for God’s protection against any of the strategies of Satan. 

For yours is the kingdom, and the power, and glory, for ever and ever. Amen

Closing Prayer

Thank you for your presence, Father. Help me to acknowledge and remember you today and forever. Guide my heart and make these words more than words, and give me the Spirit of Jesus. Amen.
